Winter Scene | A Christmas Gift | Watercolor paintings
I haven’t had my watercolors out in a little while, but I have been feeling the urge, so much so I even dreamt about painting last night! So today I got them all out, set it up at our dining table (the only available place to paint) and got busy painting!
I almost forgot how much I love painting. The freedom and the flow of the watercolors is one of my favorite things about the medium.
I made two paintings today, both 9”x12,” with a combination of Daniel Smith watercolors, Winsor & Newton Watercolors, and Artistro watercolor paints. There is a massive difference in price between the them, but I enjoy using them in combo, and I am a fan of the fluorescent and metallic colors included in my Artistro set.
This first video below is of the first painting I worked on today, titled “A Christmas Gift.” It was of a potted faux plant for my mother from her great grandsons.
This next video is of the second painting of today – “Winter Scene” and is really one of my favorites to date. I am thinking about getting a nice frame for it. My inspiration came from just looking outside our window and seeing the ice coated trees and snow all around us.
Below is a gallery of photos of the finished projects, and one of me holding my paintings! I hope you enjoy them! I absolutely love creating them!
